Oxi Fresh vs Steam Cleaning

For as long as most people can remember, steam cleaning has been the prefered method of cleaning carpets. While usually effective, steam cleaning has several major drawbacks that Oxi Fresh has overcome including:

  • Long dry times - Steam cleaning can sometimes take up to 24 hours to completely dry because this method relies on large amounts of water and chemicals to clean.

  • Wick back - Because steam cleaning relies on water, the dirt and oils that are in the carpet end up in the water being used to clean. Your carpets and then soaked in this oily, dirty water down to the carpet pad. Eventually, this dirt and oil works its way back to the surface as a stain. This is called wick back.

Oxi Fresh uses the power of oxygen and brush agitation to clean resulting in:

  • 1 hour dry times - Carpets are usually 100% dry by the time we leave the house!
  • Stains do NOT reappear - no oily water being used to soak your carpet pad.
